Laure GOUIN-BRAQUEHAIS (1829-1916), attributed to. Josephine in bed, in Braquehais' studio, before 1855. Stereoscopic daguerreotype finely enhanced in color, produced on a 2/6 quadrangular plate with hammered corners, no punch, cut in half, 8.5 x 17.2 cm. Colored by Laure Gouin-Braquehais. Glazed by Gouin. Image made at her husband's home, rue de Richelieu. Most probably Joséphine Eutrèpe Lécurieux, born in 1841. Arrested for the first time in 1860, Joséphine was sentenced to two weeks in Saint-Lazare prison. She was sentenced again in April 1861 for theft, then registered as a prostitute.
