CHINA. Republic period, Minguo (1912-1949). Twelve polychrome enameled porcelain groups decorated with men and women playing the game of clouds and rain, in various positions, 11 on banana leaves. A few accidents and restorations. Lengths between 6.5 and 9.5 cm. The banana leaf, or "jiao" in Chinese, is a homophone for a one-night stand. This lot is presented by Madame Alice Jossaume, member of SFEP, expert to the Paris Court of Appeal, director of Portier et associés.
