Warren T. THOMPSON, attributed to. Study of a female nude, circa 1852. Stereoscopic daguerreotype, produced on 1/3 or 2/6 plate, 8.8 x 17 cm. The studio, with the window on the left and the striped carpet, is most probably the same as the image reproduced in Serge Nazarieff, Le Nu stéréoscopique, 1850-1930, Filipacchi, 1985, n°44, page 58. The author attributes the image to William Thompson. Bibliography: Elizabeth Anne McCauley, Industrial Madness, Commercial photography in Paris, 1848-1971, reproduced on page 367. An essential work, particularly on the life and work of Bruno Braquehais.
