[ENRICHED & UNJUSTIFIED OUT OF ORDER] Pierre LOUŸS - Marcel VERTÈS. Pybrac, illustrated with thirty drypoints by an unknown artist. Paris, at the expense of an amateur, 1928. In-4 of 79 pages, full tan chagrin, smooth spine, titled in long gold on the spine, set of thick gilt fillets on the spine, gilt fillets around the inner boards on a green chagrin, gilt head and edges. Small stain at the top of the spine. On the first inside cover, we find the copper inserted in the binding, polychrome silk endpapers with geometric pattern, folder and case (E. D. Klein-Lavoué). Illustrated with 31 original engravings including 11 hors-texte by Marcel Vertès for one of the first obscene publications of Pierre Louÿs. Edition at 30 copies. ". This copy is composed differently, that is to say: 1 original watercolor, 8 original sketches, 1 suite first state of the plates in black, 1 suite in black on Japon nacré, 1 suite colored by hand, 1 proof of the 5 refused plates and 1 copper inserted in the first plate. Dutel specifies: "It is decorated with 11 original hors-texte engravings including a title and 20 engravings in the text by Marcel Vertès who was also the editor of this work. It is one of the most beautiful and rare bibliophilic productions of the artist. And especially the rarest... (Dutel 2279, not at the BnF's Inferno).
