Chesney Henry "Chet" BAKER (1929-1988) - Bertrand FÈVRE (born around 1960). Chet Baker sings, Ostia, Italy, 1987. Silver print, circa 2012, 30 x 40.5 cm. Titled and signed in ink on the lower front. Dedicated in pencil, located and dated, "Arles, 2012" and stamped by the photographer on verso. Bertrand Fèvre is the director of Chet's Romance, a French short film released in 1988, which won the César for best documentary short in 1989, and was presented in competition at the Cannes Film Festival. In it, trumpeter and jazz singer Chet Baker performs I'm a Fool to want you, recorded at Clap's studio on November 25, 1987, shortly before the artist's death.
