PROSTITUTION. BROTHEL DÉCOR. Paul AVRIL [?]. Roman orgy, early 20th century. Oil on canvas, approx. 187 x 145 cm. In the spirit of Paul Avril and his illustration for plate XIX of Friedrich-Karl Forberg's De Figuris veneris, published by Charles Hirsch in 1906. This large canvas was probably designed as a brothel room décor. Traces of nails from an old stretcher.
