Loïc DUBIGEON (1934-2001). Drawing to illustrate Histoire d'O, 1980. Graphite, 27 x 35.8 cm. Signed and dated 80 in pencil lower right. Born into a famous family of shipowners from Nantes, Loïc Dubigeon was destined for a career as an architect. But he was drawn to the world of art, and became famous for his palette, the scarves he designed for Hermès, and his erotic illustrations, of which Cent dessins pour illustrer Histoire d'O remains his masterpiece.
