"Dear Sir, come and celebrate with us next Sunday the 200th issue of La Critique. Details and schedule in the issue of the 20th. Yours sincerely Émile Straus". Dull corners. Émile Straus (1865-1939) was a French writer, journalist, art critic and translator. A print enthusiast, Straus was president of the International Post Card Club and employed the illustrator Henri Chapront (1876-1965).
