STEREOSCOPIC DAGUERREOTYPE. [Unidentified author]. Household intimacy, circa 1850. Stereoscopic daguerreotype, produced on 1/3 or 2/6 plate, 8.5 x 17.5 cm. The only known daguerreotype, in which the kitchen and its utensils serve as an alibi for the reconstruction of an erotic composition. Traces of rubbing. Provenance: Uwe Scheid collection; label on back "Uwe Scheid, sammlung 1.066" and Serge Nazarieff collection.
