STEREOSCOPIC DAGUERREOTYPE. Désiré-François MILLET. Portrait of a young mother and daughter, circa 1855. Colorized "miniature enamel" stereoscopic daguerreotype, produced on a 1/3 plate or 2/6, 8.4 x 17.3 cm. On verso, a large advertising label mentioning the qualities of "artist Professor Millet" and his works. Painter and daguerreotypist Désiré François Millet practiced in Paris, rue du Coq, rue de Buci and rue Montesquieu between 1848 and 1865.
