Ink box of rectangular form out of patinated bronze with decoration, on the lid the lid, of loves holding a cartouche framing a head of and on the sides, heads of medusas as well as loves riding centaurs and riding centaurs and framing a cartouche of abundance and a profile of man in the antique in relief. Work of the XIXth century, in the taste of the Italian Renaissance and attributed to the Manufattura di Signa This inkwell is strongly inspired by Severo da Ravenna's models like the one the one that belonged to the Visconti family and is now kept in the Louvre under the number OA 6941.
