[PROSTITUTION] Serge JACQUES (born around 1926). Scènes de racolage actif, circa 1960. 4 period silver prints, 18 x 24 cm. With a red stamp on the back: Copyright Serge Jacques, 112, Boulevard Malesherbes, except one with a black printed label indicating the same text. Seal: Krijn [or Kryn] TACONIS (1918-1979). Daughter in Amsterdam, ca. 1950. Period silver print, 23.8 x 19 cm. A member of the Dutch Resistance, Taconis was admitted to Magnum in 1950, along with Capa and Henri Cartier-Bresson. Having become disturbed by his reporting on the Algerian War, he immigrated to Canada in 1959, changing his first name from Krijn to Kryn. (5 proofs in all)
