Paul THEVENAZ (1891-1921). Self-portrait, 1914. Watercolor and charcoal drawing, 37 x 23 cm sight. Signed and dated lower right. To be compared with the drawing published on page 36 in Paul Thévenaz, a record of his life and art, Privetly printed, 1922. Established in Paris in 1909, where he met Jean Cocteau and introduced him to rhythm, Thévenaz produced numerous portraits of Cocteau, as well as of Anna de Noailles and Igor Stravinsky.
