Enameled stoneware beer mug or bierkrug, with pewter base and lid. Decorated in relief with floral cartouches embellished with putti, mascarons, garlands and drapery, with a stag on either side and a horseman in the center. Each cartouche is framed by topless caryatids holding a drapery. The rest of the piece is enriched with stylized acanthus friezes, gadroons and knotted ribbons. The lid is decorated with a shell. Creussen, 19th century. 26 x 16.5 cm
