Note of praise after reading a work by Aragon [probably Journal d'une poésie nationale]: "I devoured the articles in your book, because articles of this class can only be read together, forming a block and a family (ours). Unrepentant dreamer. Certainly, it's the only realism possible, and your strength is that you nail a milieu with a dagger it once possessed and no longer does. The scoundrel has moved on. And aren't we the last aristocrats?"
